I was at the California Hall in 1968 during Bapak's visit.
Only two memories :
At a moment during my latihan I knew that the session was finished. I opened my eyes and Bapak was before me. Nothing was said. But the finish of the session happened to all immediately.
We had the strange opportunity for men and women to be in the same hall. First the women did their session in our presence. And I believe that when it became our turn the women could not repress their laughter....
For the last 25 years I am a Benedictine monk in the south of France. I have recently dared to open myself to the experience of latihan, though I permit it only briefly, in my cell. I have also "felt it come" in choir after Vespers, when we sit in silent, private prayer....
I have written to be inscribed in the Subud Library and I have written to the association regarding my recent experiences, asking for their advice.
I was opened in the California Hall in 1964.
I would like to consider myself as an "isolated member" and thus be able to access to information for members. It could be nothing but "self-will" to practice latihan after all these years. But when I give myself the word, "Begin" there is something that seems, in fact, to begin.
It would be nice to enter into contact with a French speaking member. I am an hour's drive from Toulouse, but only a second away from an email message.
I hope that I am not presuming on your disponability.
Attached are two of my little paintings. They reflect something of my inner world.
Bless you.
